Mobile Dental Trailer Campaign
At Footbridge, our mission has always been to show the love of Jesus by connecting people in need with those who care. One of the primary ways we've accomplished this is by hosting free dental clinics 3 to 5 times per year for uninsured and underinsured individuals, including veterans and active-duty military personnel across North Carolina.
As we’ve expanded our care to new neighbors within the community, including refugees, homeless individuals, and natural disaster survivors, we’ve consistently noticed a new need – the capacity to bring our care directly to those who need it most.
That’s why Footbridge is launching the “Miles of Smiles” Mobile Dental Exam Trailer Fundraising Campaign — a fully equipped mobile clinic that will bring dental care directly to those who face barriers to receiving quality, compassionate care. With your support, this mobile clinic will:
- Serve Veterans, uninsured and low-income individuals, refugees, and people affected by natural disasters;
- Provide free dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, and urgent care;
- Reach homeless individuals and communities with limited access to dental services;
- Educate individuals on oral health to prevent future problems.
Our goal is to raise $250,000 to purchase, equip, and operate this mobile dental exam trailer. Every gift, large or small, brings us closer to delivering care where it’s needed most.

The costs for our Dental Exam Trailer are:
$183,000 - Custom-built 42-foot trailer with two exam rooms and a sterilization lab
$ 24,000 - Planmeca ProOne Panoramic X-Ray Unit
$ 21,000 - Dental Chairs (2) and Portable Dental Units (2)
$ 11,500 - Sterilization equipment, instruments, supplies
$ 6,000 - Computers, network, room monitors (3)
$ 4,500 - Insurance
$ 250,000 - Dental Exam Trailer Total
With the generous donations of friends like you and several key grants awarded to this Exam Trailer, we have already raised $95,000 towards making this great ministry tool a reality! We are praising God that we are over one-third of the way to our goal.
